A few days ago, we have distributed a new version of voice recorder and the sounds submitted through the Phonethica Uploader Ver1.2 are becoming more and more interesting (I am posting below the screen shot) . There are sounds, for instance, from Honk Kong, Mexico, Israel, and so on. For those who have not tried it yet, please download the application, and first of all, listen to the sounds that have been gathered through the project web server.

This application is released temporally for the installation to start next month, and still has many defects: the latest posting information remain, it is impossible to use TAB, geographical information must be input by hands, cancellation of the upload is not possible and so on…

Thanks to turn a blind eye to this and please wait with expectations for the next version-up. Concerning troubles such as the impossibility of seeing the sound list, please try to restart the application, it should solve those problems.

Finally, there were many voices asking to set a theme because it is rather difficult to know what to record when “any word is welcome!”. As a matter of fact, we are giving “WORD” as a theme. Then, please feel to play a word association game and continue sending us your words. For example WORD -> COMMUNICATION -> EXCHANGE -> TRADE -> MONEY -> HONEY -> SWEET -> BITTER -> BUTTER… Send us your words as they come up to your mind!

It is common sense, but anyhow, all in all “living sounds” are irresistible!

先日から新たに配布している再生機能を搭載したヴォイスレコーダー, Phonethica Uploader Ver1.2を使って投稿されてくるサウンドが面白くなってきた．以下にスクリーンショットを載せたが，イスラエルやメキシコ，香港などからもサウンドが送られてきている．まだ試してない方は是非アプリをダウンロードして，まずはプロジェクトのウェブサーバーに集まってきている音を聴いてみてほしい．

このアプリケーションは来月から始まるインスタレーションのために暫定的に公開しているもので，まだまだ不具合が多い（直前の投稿情報が残ってしまう．TABがきかない．地理情報を手動で入力しなければならない，アップロードの中止ができない等）．そのあたりにはどうかとりあえず目をつぶって頂き，今後のバージョンアップに期待をして欲しい，また，サウンドのリストが見れないなどといったトラブルはアプリケーションを再起動することで解決するはずなので，問題があった場合は試してみて欲しい．

また，「なんでも好きな言葉でいいというのが逆に難しいからお題をくれ」という意見を複数の人からもらったので，お題をとりあえず「ことば」とし，そこから連想ゲームのように言葉を紡いでいってみて欲しい．たとえば「ことば」「コミュニケーション」「やりとり」「やきとり」「備長炭」・・といったように思いつくままにことばを羅列し，それをそのまま送ってみて欲しい．

当たり前のことだが，とにかくやっぱり生音は圧倒的に面白い．
